Weddings involve careful planning whether they be traditional, modern or themed. James will be pleased to liaise with you in all aspects of the event as you so require. He will be pleased to meet with you in advance to discuss your requirements, offer advise and clarify any areas that may be of concern.

On the Day

James will always arrive early to ensure the venue is prepared according to your wishes. He will be happy to attend the church, if required, to assist the ushers. It is usual practice for the traditional red coat not to be worn at church but to be dressed in plain black morning dress. Having ensured that all is well, he will attend the reception venue to complete the last minute arrangements with the venue staff, caterers and other providers.

Every wedding is special and unique and James will discretely ensure that all runs smoothly so the bridal party can enjoy the day without worry or concerns.

The toastmaster role is flexible and please feel free to discuss any particular aspect however unusual they might at first appear. Remember, virtually everything is possible.

The usual functions for which a toastmaster can be used are as follows -

  • Receive the guests
  • Receive the bride and groom arrival at the reception venue
  • Organise the receiving line and , if required, announce the guests
  • Announce the entrance of the bride and groom and escort them to their seats
  • To say grace or call upon another so to do
  • Announce and organise the cutting of the cake
  • Announce any formal speeches or toasts
  • Close the formal proceedings and escort the bride and groom from the function
  • Prepare for any subsequent festivities
  • Announce the first dance
